Bio
I am a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist that specializes in Expressive Art facilitation. I focus on using art-based tools to create a fun and engaging inclusive atmosphere where participants can feel free to express themselves and create art pieces regardless of abilities.
I have had the pleasure of providing art-based groups using mixed media techniques with children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly with a variety of abilities in various settings. My career includes facilitating art programs for the NYS Office of Mental Health, NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, WNY Learning Disabilities Association, Elderwood Senior Care, Erie County Medical Center and Erie County Home.
My work has been displayed in the 2018 and 2019 Art & Mental Health Exhibits at the Richmond Memorial Library Gallery in Batavia. My education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with emphasis in Trauma Informed Care & Counseling from the University of Buffalo and an Associates of Science degree in Commercial Art. I also hold Certificates in Therapeutic Recreation and Child Life studies.
