Deconstructivism-1
Based off of one of her early works of an Architectural Floor Plan Design, Heather started off by overlaying oil stick paint on top of a floor plan in a visual graphic study of the initial human occupancy density of the floor plan of a built space. As she continued to evaluate the floor plan and it's occupancy density over a week's average use, with its changing patterns of decreasing occupancy in some areas, she began to "pull away"/scrape off oil material from her visual graphic study "deconstructing" the forming artwork. Heather then used Film Photography to capture various points in the artwork's "de-evolution," and "snapshots" in time, as the piece continued to evolve. The floor plan layout was being evaluated for renovation work, and as part of the evolution of this artwork, the graphic visual was then manipulated digitally to move and "add" areas evaluating balance in occupancy density, and composition. The resulting artworks becoming snapshots, and vignettes of the visual graphics study, and a representation of a floor plan/built environment.

She studied Architecture and Film Photography at Williamsville East High School from 1995 - 1999 and went to Syracuse University School of Architecture in 2001, where she studied Architecture, Psychology & Sociology with a specialized focus on the relationship between how built environments affect human behavior, and how human behavior helps shape built environments. In 2015 Heather was granted the opportunity to pursue a lifelong dream she had had since she was a child - to run an Arts & Cultural Center with Galleries and classes - which, she still does today at ART247 / Buffalo Niagara Arts. Heather rarely enters her own work in the shows she creates at the Arts & Cultural Center, preferring to recognize, highlight, and promote the talented works of all the other artists that are a part of the ART247 / Buffalo Niagara Arts, Arts & Cultural Community.
In Heather's spare time, Heather's hobbies include being a Volunteer Firefighter, EMT, and Law Enforcement Officer, as well as a mom to two amazing teenagers.
